For those headed offshore, sails must be built to sustain the intense forces of the ocean for days or weeks at a time. Inshore
The lightest and most economical build, these sails are designed for day-sailors who don’t typically stray too far from shore and will be back to the dock not long after sunset. Lightness, strength, and functionality are key aspects of any inshore sail.
Coastal
Coastal sails are suitable for both a day of sailing or an overnight adventure between ports. Most sailors end up falling under this category given its versatility and cost effectiveness. Finished details on the sail are balanced with added stitching and corner detailing without significantly increasing weight.
Offshore
For sailors interested in putting in serious miles out of the sight of land, offshore sails are necessary to for the sustained conditions you might face during a long passage. Not only will yours sails be reinforced at the seams and corners, the batten pockets, reef points, and edge tapes will also be upgraded to withstand even the most white-knuckled offshore conditions.

Ocean sails are designed to handle the specific abuses that crossing the open ocean may inflict on a sail, whether it be expected or not. Not only are all of the critical, load-bearing areas beefed up for maximum strength, small details like added chafe-protection, additional reef points, and any other custom request you might have can be incorporated into the sail to cope with prolonged exposure to extreme ocean conditions.
